How to adjust the electrically tuned front end in Nokia RD58: 1. Power on 2. Press ENT 3. Press STO repeatedly until you see "AlllrSt" in the upper line 4. Press # repeatedly until you see "rFcrSt" in the upper line 5. Press 666# (now your front end tuning values are reseted) 6. Power off - power on 7. Set frequency 432000# 8. Connect to signal generator, freq 432000kHz, FM, 1khz, deviation 3...4kHz, initial power -40dBm, attenuate more when you hear signal... 9. Press ENT 10. Press RCL repeatedly (perhaps only once) until you see rFc in the upper line 11. Tune value (first numbers in the bottom line) with + and - -buttons in the edge of the control-part. Last number is RSSI, tune it as high as possible . Good guess for tuning value (the first number) is 75...85. 12. Press ENT to exit menu when ready 13. Repeat 7...12 with frequency 438000kHz. 14. Press ENT 15. Press STO repeatedly until you see "AllrSt" in the upper line 16. Press # repeatedly until you see "rFcFIl" in the upper line 17. Press 666# (now your front end tuning values are filled between 432...438 MHz, also in HAM-band) 18. Press ENT 19. Check sensitivity in repeater freq, should be something about -100 or better. NOTE!
