Alfons, DD5OI has sent us some drawings of what you can find inside a Nokia MD54CB mobile cellular phone made for the German C-Netz network. The network will be wound down in the end of 2000 and thousands of these phones will be available, apparently at scrap prices. If you are interested in modifying Nokia 54 for amateur radio use, please contact Alfons through us.
28 August 2000A new release 3.9 for the Nokia/Mobira RB58/RC58/RD58 trunked transportables and BB58/BC58/BD58 base stations. The release contains some minor improvements that should cure the resetting of some parameters when some sets are connected to the mobile installation kit.

The new firmware releases for Nokia MD50/MD59/ME59 are now available only on OH3NWQ's pages. The latest release is 2.20a. An user manual in English is also available.

There have been some PLL lock problems in the RD58 440...470 MHz versions on the ham band, especially in the low end. OH3NWQ han written a page about the VCO band modifications.

20 May 2000New series 2.x firmware is available for the Nokia R58 series with lots of new setup functions. OH5NXO and OH6MF have also developed a DTMF decoder board to be installed in the second EPROM socket that is not used with the ham firmware

OH3TR has signed a contract with Nokia which allows us to put schematic diagrams, tuning charts etc. of Nokia phones, dated more than 10 years ago, on the server. Watch this space for more information.

15 March 2000New firmware for Nokia TMF-1 (NMT450) and TMN-1 (NMT900) cellular phones, also known as Nokia Talkman 520/620.
Some modification notes and a channel EPROM compiler for Kyodo KG110 base station (also known as Nokia BSR80/150/450).
New firmware versions for Nokia Talkman MD50 NMT450, MD59 NMT450 ME59 NMT900 transportable cellular phones keep appearing. Latest release 2.13 now available on our server.
8 February 2000The server has been tested extensively after replacing the failed network adapter and the unreliable connection through our own bridge with a new combo card and a 10Base-T connection to the TUT/ELE switch. We are proud to present you reliable service with faster download. Enjoy!
Since last November, we have got lots of new information on our Finnish conversion pages. There are also pictures of some radios. We will add these on this page later.
